Zagriculture

The show's preseason framework for selecting a commonly held “zig” and planting a specific “zag” worth reviewing after the season. Zagriculture is not contrarianism for its own sake; it is a receipt-making exercise that turns broad narratives into explicit, falsifiable beliefs.

Current Show Posture

As of 2026-08-24:

Zagriculture gives preseason previews a useful second layer. The show can agree with the main case while still asking what might break it: Pete Golding after Lane Kiffin, USC's defense, Iowa's explosiveness, Notre Dame's schedule, Dabo Swinney's decline, and Oregon's January ceiling all become testable statements rather than ambient vibes.

The playoff-prediction episode extends the frame from individual counter-narratives to a complete bracket. Dan's Houston selection is the clearest personal zag: a public, falsifiable flag built from quarterback, defense, and schedule rather than a claim of certainty.
