Florida Gators
SEC program. Hired Brad White from Kentucky as DC for 2026. Ty's tier-three SEC team in his early-April working list — flagged as "probably too low."
Current Show Posture
As of 2026-08-17:
Florida has moved decisively beyond Ty's pre-preview over-6.5 lane: he now calls this a top-15 roster and plants an 8-4 flag. The nation's top returning-production defense, Brad White, a loaded front seven, Jadan Baugh, and three high-upside receivers give Jon Sumrall enough immediate leverage to win ugly and spring an upset.
The show is not treating Florida as clean. Aaron Philo and Tramell Jones Jr. remain an unresolved quarterback choice, the offensive line is patchwork, and four games look like obvious losses. The stronger posture is that Sumrall's adaptive intensity and the defensive floor can buy the new offense enough time to reach eight wins anyway.
Sumrall's intensity still widens the range, but it is now being treated more as immediate juice than abstract volatility. Ty expects the season to be uneven and extremely entertaining rather than quietly transitional.
