QB at Texas Tech in 2026. In-house option behind Brendan Sorsby (and possibly the de facto starter if Sorsby's situation doesn't resolve). Coming off ACL recovery. The show's read: "for a half" he looked like the Texas Tech QB of the future before the injury — but coming off ACL, his 2026 status is unclear. Part of the show's broader observation that the portal QB supply is thin enough that even a recovering Hammond is not a clearly-better-than-Sorsby alternative.
