Giants Should Go Defense / Defense, Not Receiver
Nate Tice
Do not go receiver. It's just kind of they're the cherry on tops to the rebuild. They're the final piece. They are not the thing, they're not the foundation of a rebuild. And I see a lot of dumb teams draft receivers early. And I'm like, you guys aren't in a position to be drafting that.
Context
Nate Tice's prescription for the New York Giants at picks 5 and 10: defense / defense, or defense / OL. Receivers are the cherry on top of a rebuild, not the foundation. If Sonny Styles is there at 5, take him. Caleb Downs at 5 is "very comfortable." Giants' third-and-long defense the past few years has been one of the most frustrating in football — Downs is the smartest back-end fixer.
Joe Schoen has met with Jordyn Tyson, but per Nate: "John Harbaugh's making the pick."
