Jeremiyah Love Not a Generational Back

Nate Tice

I think one thing is that I've noticed if a running back splits out and runs like a real route and catches the ball, oh my God, everyone just goes, this guy's not a running back. He's a weapon, right?

Context

Nate Tice pushing back on the "generational" language around Jeremiyah Love. His top RB tier from a decade-plus of scouting: Zeke Elliott (number one), Bijan Robinson (number two), Todd Gurley, Saquon Barkley — those are "purple chip" backs. Love is a tier below — comparable to Jahmyr Gibbs or Ashton Jeanty (who got the same treatment last year). Real receiving ability and vision; runs upright, which scares Nate at the next level.

I swear, goldfish memories.
