Good QB Plus Bad Defense Equals Fantasy Gold
Jason Moore
"What you need is the team that has a good quarterback and a bad defense. That's what you look for. The elixir. You just take all those players, all the offensive players, find any team with a bad defense and a good quarterback. You want them for fantasy."
Context
Jason's elixir — the cleanest situational tell in fantasy football. CeeDee Lamb / Ja'Marr Chase get to historic numbers because their defenses force shootouts and 4th-quarter come-from-behind chuck-fests. The downside of the 2026 draft: Bengals and Cowboys both upgraded their defenses materially (Caleb Downs to the Cowboys is the headline), which compresses the ceiling of their elite WRs.
The bad-team-bad-QB combo (Jets, Raiders) doesn't generate WR fantasy production — those teams are just bad. The combo you want is bad D + competent passing offense.
