Context
Texas Tech still has the best roster in the Big 12 even after the Brendan Sorsby news (gambling investigation, status uncertain). Bill's read: the OL will be dynamite, the RB room is dynamite, the defense will be very good, the transfer haul is trustworthy. The QB downgrade from Sorsby to Behren Morton or whoever is real but doesn't dethrone the program.
Probability shifts the Big 12 title-game race from "Texas Tech is a near-lock" to "Texas Tech is a strong favorite." BYU is the cleanest dark-horse beneficiary; Kansas State, Houston, Arizona, OSU, TCU all become slightly more plausible.
