Sorsby uncertainty reopens the Big 12 middle
Ty Hildenbrandt
"Without Sorsby, Texas Tech still probably has the best roster in the Big 12."
Context
The show does not remove Texas Tech from the top of the Big 12 board, but it does treat Brendan Sorsby's eligibility uncertainty as a conference-wide volatility accelerant. Ty says the Red Raiders may still have the best roster and remain the favorite, while conceding that losing Sorsby knocks them down and changes the complexion of the league.
Dan's companion read is that the second and third tiers become more alive if Texas Tech is less obvious. BYU, Utah, Houston, Arizona, and other Big 12 candidates benefit from the uncertainty even if none of them becomes the clean favorite by default.
