Kentucky needs an upset the schedule may not give it

Context
Ty's Kentucky read is schedule-first. Youngstown State, South Alabama, and Vanderbilt look like the cleanest wins, but the rest of the slate does not provide enough obvious stepping stones to six. Every SEC opponent on the schedule rates higher than Kentucky in preseason SP+, which turns the 5.5 number into a demand for a steal.
The show is not anti-reset. Ty likes the Will Stein hire, the aggressive transfer class, and the upside around Kenny Minchey, CJ Baxter, and Nick Anderson. Dan also offers the pro-over case: Kentucky catches several opponents after major games, creating a string of letdown/look-ahead opportunities.
The final posture is still under because the program has too much newness and too few freebies. Kentucky may be dangerous, but dangerous is not the same as bankable when the schedule gives so little margin.
