TCU's over depends on banking wins before November
Context
Ty's over is an early-runway argument, not a clean roster endorsement. TCU lost Josh Hoover, Eric McAlister, Kendal Briles, and much of the offensive identity, while Jaden Craig has to make a substantial jump from Harvard. The new offense under Gordon Sammis should be more varied and run-oriented, but the proof is not in yet.
The schedule gives TCU a chance to bank wins before November: North Carolina in Dublin, Grambling, Arkansas State, UCF, BYU, Baylor, West Virginia, and Kansas all arrive before the finish hardens. Ty thinks that is enough to lean over.
Dan's counter is the residual 6-6 feel. The defense was bend-but-do-not-break, the run game was poor, star power is unclear beyond Jordan Dwyer, and November closes at Arizona, Kansas State, Utah, and at Texas Tech. The show leaves TCU as a true teeter case, with the over dependent on getting to seven before the flaws are fully exposed.
