Wisconsin has a real over path if the offense reaches decent

Context

Both hosts reluctantly buy Wisconsin over 6.5. The case begins with schedule relief: the Badgers miss Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan, and Indiana, while Rutgers, Maryland, Purdue, and Minnesota create a more navigable Big Ten lane than Wisconsin has had recently.

Ty's football case is conditional but real. Colton Joseph gives Jeff Grimes a different quarterback tool, especially in the run game, and the defense could be top-20 caliber if the new pieces hit. Luke Fickell also knows the stakes: 2026 needs to show tangible progress.

The bear case remains the offense. Wisconsin has been bad there for multiple quarterback cycles, Joseph is volatile, and the roster lost top receivers, interceptions, and edge production. The show is not calling for a leap into contention; it is saying decency may be enough for seven.
