Context
The show buys an SEC national champion at roughly 35-40%, which is strong but meaningfully short of old-era inevitability. The top of the SEC is still capable of winning the title, but the national field now includes Oregon, Ohio State, Indiana, Notre Dame, and Miami as credible counterweights.
Within the SEC, Texas is the cleanest answer because the roster case is easiest to see. Georgia remains institutionally stable, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, LSU, and Alabama have paths, but each comes with quarterback, offensive-line, defensive, or transition caveats.
The macro read echoes earlier May Q&A posture: the SEC is still powerful, but the conference itself is no longer treated as the sport's automatic final boss. The next SEC champion is plausible; it is not presumed.
