Current Show Posture

As of 2026-08-11:

Texas has a championship roster and joins Georgia in the SEC's cleanest top tier, but the show is withholding automatic trust. Arch Manning and Cam Coleman can be spectacular, Colin Simmons anchors an aggressive Will Muschamp defense, and the portal haul upgraded multiple rooms. The unresolved question is whether Steve Sarkisian finally gets all of those advantages operating together in the same week.

Last year's offense lacked down-to-down and third-down efficiency, the line did not create enough push, and the secondary had communication issues. The country's hardest schedule magnifies every delay. Both hosts still land at 10-2 and a playoff berth; 9-3 would feel like a failure relative to the investment and talent.
