An Excessively Windy Game Will Create Beautiful Football Nonsense

Dan Rubenstein

“An excessively windy game, unless it involves your team.”

Context

Dan prefers the strange geometry of a wind game to the more familiar chaos of rain or snow: punts die, throws drift, and a ball can theoretically roll for 80 yards while players race after it. Ty agrees that wind is an especially dangerous context for evaluating what a quarterback or offense actually means.
