Context
Ty resists the automatic optimism that follows a new regime. Stanford has Tavita Pritchard, Davis Warren, Andrew Luck, and a different roster, but the starting point remains a pass defense that was last in the nation a year earlier.
The show can believe in Stanford's long-term improvement while still expecting Micah Alejado and Hawaii to throw effectively in Week 0. If Stanford improves immediately, Ty expects the first evidence to come on offense rather than through a complete defensive repair.
