TCU's first game looked like an offense out of ideas.

“It just felt like I knew what was coming.”
Context
Jeremy Payne was a legitimate positive and Gordon Sammis clearly wanted to establish the run, but the plan stopped producing answers once North Carolina adjusted. TCU never made the defense account for Jaden Craig as a runner even though Sonny Dykes had talked up Craig's mobility.
Craig's athleticism showed when he moved outside the pocket, but his timing and accuracy were uneven. The international setting, worsening weather, Jordan Dwyer's absence, and the first-game caveat all soften the conclusion; the immediate concern is that TCU looked unprepared to create answers when the first script ran out.
