Texas A&M's hard ceiling still has to be disproved

Context

The show is uncomfortable with the narrative because it can sound like "that is just how it has always been." The current case is not weak: Mike Elko made the playoff, Marcel Reed returns, the skill talent is better, and the defense has enough middle-of-the-field continuity to be taken seriously.

The problem is the historical gravity. Texas A&M has spent decades orbiting eight and nine wins, and the 2025 playoff appearance still ended with a home loss to Miami in which the Aggies did not find the end zone. Until A&M beats a harder SEC schedule and does something with the playoff access it earned, the ceiling narrative remains built to last.
