Virginia Cavaliers
ACC program. The 2026 Kickoff Yearning episode used Virginia's Rio opener against NC State as part of the sport's productive international weirdness.
Current Show Posture
As of 2026-08-30:
Virginia's 34–8 win over NC State was the most impressive Week 0 showing to the hosts. The Cavaliers outgained the Wolfpack 413–168, controlled the lines, and answered an 8-point response with a 23-play, 75-yard drive that consumed 12 minutes. The Iowa East comparison now has actual evidence behind it: this is a physical defense-and-run-game team with a dual-threat quarterback.
The remaining ceiling question is the same one from the preview, only sharper. Beau Pribula ran for 110 yards and supplied an extra blocker, but Virginia asked him to throw only about ten or eleven times. Better opponents can force the Cavaliers to pass, and the schedule projection depends on keeping Pribula healthy enough to carry the identity.
